Meet Jon Purpura
Jon Purpura is an accomplished global business leader with over 25 years of experience in leadership roles at United Airlines. Throughout his career, he successfully led high-impact sales teams, focusing on mentoring and coaching to enhance the leadership capabilities of individuals and organizations. His passion lies in building confidence, empowering teams, and witnessing their growth as they perform at their best.
Dedicated to the study of positive psychology and an eternal optimist, Jon strives to share that optimism with others. He specializes in helping individuals capitalize on their unique assets, guiding them to unlock their full potential. By applying principles of positive psychology, he has seen transformative results in those he has worked with at United and other organizations, fostering environments where individuals and teams thrive.
Jon’s passion for coaching and speaking led to the creation of Elevate Advisory LLC, where he continues to elevate others on their personal and professional journeys.
Meet Cindy Seffair
Cindy Seffair is a seasoned Human Resources professional with over 35 years of experience at United Airlines.
Throughout her career, she has held pivotal roles as an HR business partner supporting major operating groups. Her primary focus has been on fostering leadership and team development, mentoring and coaching employees at various levels within the organization, and strengthening employee engagement. Cindy’s expertise extends to performance management, succession planning, talent acquisition, and community engagement, underscoring her comprehensive approach to organizational effectiveness.
During the merger between Continental Airlines (CO) and United Airlines (UA), Cindy played a key role on the organization design team. She led the corporate training and development team during this transformative period, successfully leveraging resources to create and deliver impactful leadership training programs. Cindy’s commitment to organizational growth was further demonstrated when she created and led the first Communication and Change Management position within HR. In this role, she streamlined HR communications and directed change management efforts for performance management systems and the Learning Management System. Her leadership extended to a variety of other change initiatives, where she established protocols and provided essential support for successful transitions.
Cindy is especially passionate about front line leader development. She recognizes the critical role that front line leaders play in shaping the experience of both the company and its employees. Cindy believes that these leaders can significantly influence the workplace environment, ultimately making or breaking the experience of front-line employees.
Cindy has a BA in Communications from Bowling Green State University in Ohio. She lives in Denver, Colorado where she enjoys the great outdoors, and all that Colorado has to offer.
